About Us

The Albion Hotel is approximately 2 hours from Canberra and 4 hours from Sydney. It is located half way between Sydney and Melbourne on the XPT rail line, and is located less than 1km from the Cootamundra Railway Station.

In 2021, born and bred Cootamundra locals, Tony and Jason along with their wives, Leanne and Lisa, had a vision to provide Cootamundra with a welcoming, all inclusive venue for all to enjoy. It was to be a venue for the community, for family and friends to come together and a location to showcase live entertainment and the arts.

The hotel was closed in March 2022 and the renovation took an exhausting 8 months to complete. Many local trades put their blood, sweet and tears into this project and we can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and attention to detail. The ‘new’ Albion Hotel had its grand opening in December 2022 and provides the town of Cootamundra with a complete venue, from deluxe accommodation, function areas for birthday parties, business events, weddings, live entertainment and everything in between.
